Amplifying Starbucks Singapore Brand Awareness Using Influencer Marketing

The campaign kicked off in March 2026 to spotlight Starbucks' newest outlet, Starbucks WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa. Our target was Indonesian travellers who visit Singapore often or those living in Singapore, so we teamed up with Indonesian influencers who live in or regularly travel to the city. Their content ran on Meta and TikTok, and we backed it with awareness ads on both platforms. We also turned our attention to the Indian market, this time promoting other Starbucks outlets and their merchandise around Singapore's popular travel spots. The approach was similar: we collaborated with influencers who could reach that audience naturally.

Client

Starbucks needs little introduction. The Seattle-based coffeehouse chain started in 1971, when Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl and Gordon Bowker opened a shop at Pike Place Market selling coffee beans. Since then, it has grown into one of the world's best-known coffee brands. Starbucks arrived in Singapore in 1996 and now has around 130 to 150 outlets across the island. All of them are run by restaurant operator Maxim's Caterers.

About

Our partnership with Starbucks Singapore began with one goal: introducing the new WEAVE outlet at Resorts World Sentosa. It soon grew into something bigger. We were also raising awareness of other outlets and driving merchandise sales. Everyone already knows Starbucks, but with cafes popping up all over Singapore, the brand still has to reach the right people. That's where influencer marketing and targeted ads came in.

Approach & Strategy

Matching Audience Persona and Influencer Profiles

Because this campaign was built around influencers, we started by researching who actually visits each outlet, so we could find the creators those audiences already follow and trust. We looked beyond nationality to interests too, from coffee habits to favourite travel destinations.

Running Seasonal Campaigns

With Indonesian and Indian audiences in focus, seasonal campaigns such as Eid al-Adha were a natural fit. They reach travellers flying into Singapore, and people of those nationalities who already live here and celebrate with those around them.

A/B Testing

Even though most of our work was with KOLs, A/B testing still played an important part. It gave us insights into targeting, the language influencers used, and which content types performed better.
